Job Description Summary
Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid, 10-week experience for selected students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7.
Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates, possess U.S. work authorization, and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally, participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. The application window is open until March 15, 2026; however, it may close earlier if all available roles are filled. Applications submitted after the application window or once a role is closed/projects are full will not be considered.

This position is part of the eCommerce Technology division at Samsung Electronics America. Our platform powers Samsung's eCommerce operations, handling over $1.5 billion in transactions annually and serving millions of visitors each year. To ensure an optimal customer experience, we require a performant, scalable, and highly functional platform. The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) team plays a critical role in certifying the platform's quality and reliability.
The SDET team is responsible for testing weekly releases, reviewing and executing platform migration test cases, and building frameworks and automation to expedite test case execution. The team also investigates bugs that cause customer friction points and prepares for upcoming launches, including major events like the holiday season. This role is integral to ensuring the platform's seamless operation and enhancing the customer experience.
As an Intern, you will contribute to these efforts by assisting in the development and execution of test cases, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and helping to identify and resolve issues. You will also have the opportunity to work on automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Test Case Development and Execution: Assist in creating, reviewing, and executing test cases for weekly releases and platform migrations.
Automation Framework Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of automation frameworks to streamline test case execution.
Bug Investigation: Identify, troubleshoot, and document bugs that cause customer friction points, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Performance Testing: Participate in performance testing activities to ensure the platform can handle high traffic during peak periods, such as holiday seasons.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, DevOps, and Product Management, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business goals.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test processes, results, and findings using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail.
Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement improvements to testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Launch Preparation: Assist in preparing the platform for upcoming launches by ensuring all necessary testing is completed and any issues are resolved.
Qualifications
Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred academic fields of study: Computer Science.
Rising Seniors or recent graduates are strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Modern programming skills in Python, TypeScript, Node.js, or Java.
Experience with application AI/ML frameworks.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail.
