Operations Manager

Eddleman & Eddleman, Inc. is a boutique, multi-division professional services firm providing integrated financial advisory, accounting, tax, and private investment services to business owners and other affluent clients. Our firm includes a fully functioning CPA and accounting practice serving individuals and businesses, a Registered Investment Advisory division, and an internal private equity and venture capital platform that supports ongoing, tax-advantaged private investment strategies. We operate as a small, highly skilled, cooperative team, offering professionals meaningful exposure to complex planning, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and long-term career development in a high-trust environment.

Our advisory philosophy is informed by a long-term, stewardship-oriented perspective that values disciplined planning, responsible growth, and charitable engagement. Through an independent foundation, we assist clients in integrating philanthropic strategies into their broader financial lives, and our firm culture reflects a Judeo-Christian worldview that emphasizes integrity, service, and principled decision-making.

This role is central to our ability to scale responsibly while preserving our culture and mission. As the firm grows and operational leadership expands, this role is expected to evolve significantly in scope and compensation. In a successful execution scenario aligned with our long-term growth objectives, total compensation could reasonably scale into a senior operations leadership range. We are intentionally hiring this role early given our firm size because we believe strong operational leadership is essential to reaching our long-term growth objectives.

Why This Role Is Different

This role is designed for a professional who wants to help build, integrate, and scale a values-driven professional services firm. Rather than operating within a large corporate structure, the Operations Manager will work closely with firm ownership to translate strategic vision into coordinated execution across multiple affiliated entities. The role blends hands-on operational leadership with long-term systems development and cultural stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate ownership’s strategic objectives into operational plans across all affiliated entities
  • Optimize billing automation, contract management, and pricing to help target maximized firm profitability and efficiency
  • Coordinate workflows, systems, and communication across accounting, tax, investment advisory, private equity, and philanthropic functions
  • Document operational procedures, internal workflows, and firm policies
  • Support firm-wide and departmental goal setting, accountability, and execution rhythms
  • Provide limited HR-related support focused on onboarding, role clarity, internal documentation, and staff coordination
  • Provide front-office and administrative coordination during non-peak periods and remain hands-on during peak tax seasons to support operational continuity
  • Support the implementation of an Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS) style operating framework—adapted to the firm’s values—by translating strategic objectives into clear priorities, integrating those priorities into individual responsibilities, and establishing measurable execution with accountability

Role Evolution

Because the firm’s client volume is highly seasonal, the Operations Manager will initially assume primary responsibility for front-office and administrative coordination during non-peak periods, when overall client activity is lower. This allows the role to maintain continuity of service while dedicating the majority of time to operational initiatives such as billing automation, pricing optimization, contract management, and process documentation. Administrative responsibilities during this period are intentionally paired with substantial operational projects and are not intended to define the long-term scope of the role. Even as administrative responsibilities are delegated over time, the Operations Manager is expected to remain sufficiently hands-on during peak tax seasons to ensure operational continuity, staff support, and informed leadership decision-making. The intent is for this role to develop a deep, ground-up understanding of the firm and then help lead its successful scaling.

Qualifications

  • Some experience in operations, office management, or professional services administration ideal, but not required for an exceptional, recent graduate
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and process-development skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential
  • Comfort working closely with firm ownership and leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred
  • Advanced education or equivalent professional experience valued
  • Familiarity with EOS or similar operating systems is helpful but not required

Compensation & Growth Opportunity

Starting compensation for this role is expected to fall within the $45,000–$55,000 range, depending on experience and initial scope of responsibility. As the firm grows and this role evolves toward broader operational leadership, compensation is expected to scale accordingly. In a successful execution and growth scenario, this role has the potential to develop into a senior operations leadership position with compensation aligned to firm size, complexity, and profitability.
