Interior Design Assistant

Intermark Design Group is a model home merchandising firm with over thirty year of professional experience. We are a creative, fast-paced, customer-centric organization with a goal to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction and design. We are looking for an artful Interior Design Assistant to undertake a variety of space designing projects. As a Design Assistant you will deal with design from conceptual development to executing and implementing the design. Key Skills Required:

Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new construction knowledge
Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and installation processes
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
Excellent portfolio or previous work renderings
Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
Communication and presentation skills
Project management and efficiency skills
Must be able to travel as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake design projects from concept to completion
Research and present material and products from various sources
Produce “sample” and “mood board projects”
Work closely with designers and other team members for the benefit of a project
Research and follow industry changes for a dynamic product
Administration of order entry and provide support to the Senior Designers on the projects
Travel to jobsites for installation of projects throughout the United States

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or equivalent
1-2 years experience preferred
