Purpose of Role

At Under Armour, Visual Merchandising is where strategy meets execution—and where the game plan comes to life on the floor. Working in close partnership with Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations and external partners, the Visual Merchandising team helps carry the brand forward, translating seasonal vision into powerful in-store presentations.

As a Visual Merchandising Associate, you play a key role in delivering the final stretch of the play: ensuring product stories are brought to life with clarity, impact, and consistency across our channels of business. You will support the development of seasonal visual directives and Go-To-Market (GTM) tools that equip our retail teams to perform at their best. Together, we focus on creating a premium, game-day–ready environment that inspires every athlete the moment they step inside.

Your Impact

  • Seasonal Directives & Floorsets

    • Support the creation of seasonal VM directives, the "playbooks" our stores use to execute floorsets, layouts, product placement, and mannequin styling

    • Produce digital renders and Photoshop assets to ensure our visual standards are crystal clear and easy for store teams to follow

    • Audit floorset photos to ensure execution matches our brand vision, providing feedback to drive excellence across the fleet

    • Develop supplemental tools, such as style guides and training materials, to make complex product launches simple for the field

  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Support

    • Contribute to GTM planning by anticipating VM needs and creating solutions for seasonal milestones

    • Assist with studio and showroom sets, preparing high-impact product presentations for internal and external GTM meetings

  • Digital & Systems Management

    • Act as the key liaison with our external 3D VM software partner to manage user requests and system updates

    • Maintain the digital library of UA fixtures and regional account layouts within our 3D planning software

  • Operational Excellence

    • Own the "Final Delivery": Take pride in being the last point of contact before a vision hits the floor, ensuring every detail is accurate and elevated

    • Manage administrative tasks, including milestone calendars and Smartsheet databases, to keep the team organized and efficient

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, retail design, or store execution

  • Previous experience as a Retail Assistant Manager, Key Holder, or within a large-scale retail environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Art, or a related field preferred

  • Strong understanding of visual principles, space planning, product hierarchy, storytelling, and industry standards

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex strategies into simple, user-friendly instructions

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or 2D/3D rendering software preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools, such as Smartsheet

  • Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to upholding premium brand standards

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across merchandising, marketing, and store operations

  • A "finisher" mindset with a high degree of pride in delivering the final brand vision
