Junior Interior Designer
The Live Design Project (TLDP) is a global interior design platform built to help junior designers grow through real client briefs, not made-up exercises. We connect juniors with experienced design mentors and international clients across residential, hospitality, commercial, retail, and F&B.
We’re looking for 3rd-year Interior Design students and recent graduates (within 12 months) to join our junior designer pool (remote + project-based).
You’ll be creating concept proposals, design outputs, and presentation decks, working closely with TLDP mentors (interior designers with over 10 years of experience) and learning fast through feedback and real deadlines.
The work
- Developing concept directions + mood boards that respond to the client’s brief
- Creating layouts/floor plans
- Producing 3D renders to bring your proposal to life
- Building clear presentation decks that communicate your thinking
- Iterating based on mentor feedback: showing adaptability, detail, and decision-making
- Committing to deadlines once you opt into a project (reliability is a superpower)
You’ll work closely with TLDP mentors who guide, review, and help you sharpen your proposal. This isn’t “go figure it out alone" kind of work.
How TLDP works (read this part)
TLDP uses a competitive real-brief model:
- A client submits a real project brief
- 3-5 TLDP junior designers submit proposals
- The client selects the winning proposal
You also get freelance-like flexibility:
- You choose which projects you want to join
- Project types and sizes vary (from smaller residential spaces to larger hospitality briefs)
- Don’t take a brief unless you can commit to the timeline
Pay (for winning proposals)
If your proposal is selected by the client, you are paid at:
USD $8 per m² of the awarded project area.
What we’re looking for
- You’re a 3rd-year Interior Design student or graduated within the last year (e.g. you graduated in May 2025, you can still join and stay on our platform to work on projects until December 2026)
- You can work remotely with stable internet + a laptop that can handle design software
- You’re proficient in at least one: AutoCAD / SketchUp / Revit (or equivalent)
- You communicate clearly, manage your time well, and meet deadlines you commit to
The style we’re after (aka what does “strong” look like?)
Clear, client-ready proposals have:
- Strong concept clarity (a story the client can understand)
- Practical layouts (where applicable)
- Visuals that sell the idea (renders that explain, not just decorate)
- Decks that are structured, concise, and persuasive
If that sounds like your vibe, we’d love to hear from you.
