Behavior Technician
Position Overview
Autism Behavioral Health is seeking compassionate and energetic Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our clinic-based teams in Danbury, Waterbury, and Trumbull, CT.
This role offers hands-on clinical experience working one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position is ideal for students pursuing careers in psychology, education, behavior analysis, healthcare, or related fields.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 ABA therapy sessions in a clinic setting
Implement individualized behavior plans using positive reinforcement
Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Pivotal Response Training (PRT)
Collect and record behavior data accurately using digital tools
Collaborate with BCBAs, clinical team members, and families
Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and mentorship
Complete company-provided RBT training (if applicable)
Qualifications
Current student or graduate in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Child Development, Sociology, Human Services, or a related field
Passion for working with children with autism
Reliable, professional, and organized
Able to engage in physical activity (kneeling, sitting, lifting up to 40 lbs)
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active car insurance required
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $20–$24 per hour
