Operations Specialist

Job Title: Operations Specialist

Location: Springfield, MO

Reports To: Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Operations Specialist supports day-to-day operational functions to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across the organization. This role partners cross-functionally with warehouse, logistics, finance, and customer-facing teams to monitor performance, resolve issues, and implement process enhancements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily operational activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational issues impacting service, cost, or productivity
  • Assist with process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow optimization
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular operational reports
  • Support inventory, order flow, scheduling, or capacity planning activities as assigned
  • Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational questions and issue escalation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience (Preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or process-focused roles (Preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools; ERP/WMS experience a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting warehouse or distribution operations
  • Familiarity with KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, procurement, or customer service teams
