Position Summary
The Operations Specialist supports day-to-day operational functions to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across the organization. This role partners cross-functionally with warehouse, logistics, finance, and customer-facing teams to monitor performance, resolve issues, and implement process enhancements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operational activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational issues impacting service, cost, or productivity
- Assist with process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow optimization
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular operational reports
- Support inventory, order flow, scheduling, or capacity planning activities as assigned
- Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Serve as a point of contact for operational questions and issue escalation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience (Preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or process-focused roles (Preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools; ERP/WMS experience a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting warehouse or distribution operations
- Familiarity with KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Experience working cross-functionally with finance, procurement, or customer service teams
