Occupational Therapist Assistant

We are currently seeking a 20 hour Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support youth in their recovery goals. PACT-Y provides individual therapy, family therapy, case management, nursing, psychiatry, mentoring and OT to youth experiencing significant mental health challenges.  As a member of the PACT-Y team, you will use a person-centered approach to enhance family functioning, promote stabilization, and encourage growth and resilience as youth make the transition into adulthood. The OTA will work with the OT to provide screening and interventions for youth enrolled in the program.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with members of the multi-disciplinary team and implement strategies and objectives according to the treatment plan
  • Maintains an open, honest, and respectful relationship with youth, families and team members
  • Receive supervision from a licensed Occupational Therapist 
  • Provide support and interventions in the youth’s home and community
  • Participate in team meetings and trainings
  • Utilize a strength-based perspective with youth and families
  • Maintain written documentation of progress notes, evaluations and interventions
  • Afternoon and evenings hours

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program 
  • Experience in Behavioral Health preferred
  • Current Massachusetts license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
  • Understanding of childhood development and mental health challenges
