UI/UX Designer

UI/UX Designer (Intern or Part-Time)

INVT.RSVP — Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid / Remote-Friendly)

About INVT.RSVP

INVT.RSVP is a web-based platform built to power real-world events. We help local artists, creatives, venues, and communities promote events, track attendance through QR codes, and better understand how people actually show up—whether it’s a private study session, a gallery opening, or a ticketed concert.

We’re early-stage, hands-on, and building something that lives at the intersection of design, culture, and technology.

The Role

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to help shape the look, feel, and flow of the INVT.RSVP platform. You’ll work closely with the founder and development team to design intuitive, good-looking experiences that make event creation and attendance feel effortless.

This is a great role for a student who wants real product ownership, not just mock assignments.

What You’ll Do

  • Design user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI for web-based features
  • Improve usability across event creation, QR code check-ins, and attendee tracking
  • Help define and evolve INVT’s visual language and design system
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are practical and implemented cleanly
  • Test ideas quickly and iterate based on feedback and real-world use

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with Figma (or similar design tools)
  • Understanding of UX fundamentals (user flows, hierarchy, accessibility basics)
  • Strong visual instincts—clean, modern, and intentional
  • Interest in events, music, art, or creative communities is a big plus
  • Self-starter mindset; comfortable in a startup environment

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Basic front-end awareness (HTML/CSS familiarity)
  • Experience designing dashboards or data-driven interfaces
  • Previous work on live products or apps

What You’ll Get

  • Portfolio-worthy work on a real, live product
  • Direct collaboration with the founder (no layers, no corporate nonsense)
  • Flexible hours that work around class schedules
  • Paid opportunity (or academic credit if required by your program)
  • A front-row seat to building a platform from the ground up
