Church Human Resources Intern- Summer 2026

The HR Intern will participate in a variety of HR functions with the RealLife team including: interviewing, hiring, posting positions, understanding and sharing information regarding employee benefits, employee discipline, and other HR functions necessary for a large, dynamic church. This experience will be tailored to your individual needs to help you identify and develop the gifts God has given you to build His Kingdom.

Basic Requirements:

  • Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior- This is an absolute requirement for all interns.
  • Agree with and agree to conduct yourself in alignment with these additional beliefs: real.life/beliefs
  • Proficient working with a computer including the Office suite
  • Basic communication skills both verbal and written
  • Basic administrative skills - organization and time management
  • Passion for learning and developing new policies, procedures, and skills
  • Desire to assist Real Life employees through understanding of all the church has to offer
  • Team player who is eager to learn

Responsibilities:

During the internship, there are opportunities for many routine tasks involved with meeting the needs of the approximately 200 staff members and many partners and volunteers as well. There may also be opportunities for one-on-one and small group communication. Confidentiality is of utmost importance.

General info:

Expect to be on the Real Life campus (1501 Steves Road, Clermont, FL 34711) at least 3 days per week and work 15-20 hours/week as arranged with your mentor. 

Typical hours for most positions would be Sunday 8am-1pm plus 10-15 additional hours Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm. Must be flexible to hours outside of these hours with notice.

The internship is 12 weeks long from May 17, 2026, until August 14, 2026. The church is closed the week of the 4th of July (June 29th - July 3rd), but interns are expected to work both Sundays. 

Pay: $150.00 per week
