We are seeking a Scanner to join our Offices Services department. This position reports directly to the Director of Facilities and provides high-quality scanning and general administrative support to the firm. This role reports onsite daily. The Scanner will collaborate with internal teams to reduce physical storage and maximize our digital storage space. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail oriented, and a team player. 

Responsibilities:

  • Review and organize incoming hard copy files from internal teams to prepare for scanning. This includes prepping documents, removing staples, clips, and bindings.
  • Scan, review, and upload documents and case files into document management system, ensuring that all scans are named and profiled correctly.
  • Ensure accuracy of scanned file, including verifying that all pages are legible and scanned accurately.
  • Photocopy documents, using photocopier when required.
  • Maintain organized workstation and workflow.
  • Ensure confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, to include cross training for copy center and other duties, if needed.
  • Lifting and carrying boxes up to 30 pounds
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum 1-3 years of administrative experience.
  • Experience scanning and filing documents in a document management system (DMS).
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of information at all times.
  • Must be accurate, thorough, and dependable.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain a professional demeanor.

Miles & Stockbridge offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, Firm sponsored Memberships (i.e. Peloton, Norton LifeLock), and more.

The pay range for this position is $38,000 - $40,000. The pay range provided is in compliance with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position or sit for prolonged periods and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to perform light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds.
