The Georgia Association of Broadcasters (GAB) is hiring paid interns for a 10-week program during summer 2026. Interns will work an estimated 25 hours per week. 

Interns will assist in the planning and development of the GAB’s annual convention (GABCON); visit member stations to learn how the association can best serve its membership; and learn about the GAB's advocacy efforts. 

During this paid, 10-week program, interns will be a part of a dynamic, evolving association serving the broadcast industry. Interns must be willing to contribute to all day-to-day functions necessary to complete the mission of the GAB. Ideal candidates will exhibit initiative, creativity, digital aptitude, and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing challenges facing traditional and digital broadcast media while engaging and networking with GAB members. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in creating marketing assets for the GAB's various platforms such as social media, gab.org, and other digital channels. 
  • Assist with coordination and execution of GAB events 
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of ‘GAB Future’s Day’ 
  • Assist with administering member benefit programs such as: Member Mixers; GABCON; Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP); the PEP Program; and more 
  • Brainstorm GAB’s Education Foundation initiatives and recognition efforts 
  • Assist with Government and Member Relations efforts 
  • Provide staff support as needed 

Requirements: 

  • APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THE ENTIRE WEEKEND OF SEPTEMBER 25th & 26th 
  • Attendance of the GAB’s GAB Media Career Academy May 11th – 16th 
  • Ability to work in-office 9:30am to 3:30pm Monday – Thursday* 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks 
  • Personal laptop 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Exemplary interpersonal relation skills 
  • Detail-oriented with ability to stay organized 
  • Self-starter 
  • A passion and curiosity for the broadcast industry 
  • Access to transportation for commute to and from the office, as well as Station Visits during course of 10 weeks 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Proficiency in video editing software 
  • Experience with social media marketing 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.) 
  • Experience with WordPress
