Assistant Camp Counselor
Kidizens Camp Assistant Counselor (Ski Week & / or Spring Break)
Kidizens is urgently hiring Assistant Camp Counselors to support our Ski Week and Spring Break LEGO®-based enrichment camps for elementary-aged kids. This is a short-term, high-energy role that’s perfect for college students, education majors, creatives, or anyone who loves working with kids.
About Kidizens
Kidizens runs hands-on camps where kids learn collaboration, leadership, and civic thinking through imaginative LEGO city-building challenges. Our camps are playful, structured, and full of problem-solving and teamwork.
Role Overview
As an Assistant Counselor, you’ll support the Lead Instructor by helping manage campers, facilitating LEGO builds, and creating a fun, safe, and engaging camp environment.
Responsibilities
- Support small groups of campers during LEGO building activities
- Help with classroom management, transitions, and daily routines
- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and positive social behavior
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of materials
- Model kindness, enthusiasm, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Experience working with children (camp, tutoring, babysitting, teaching, etc.)
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Comfortable taking direction and working as part of a team
- Love of LEGO, creative play, or hands-on learning is a big plus!
Details
Dates: Ski Week and/or Spring Break (availability for one or both):
- Ski-Week Break: February 16th-20th
- Spring Break: April 6th-10th
Hours: 8:45am-3:00pm Monday-Friday for the camp duration
Pay: Competitive hourly pay of $20-$22/hr (based on experience)
