Teach Coding and Robotics to Young Learners!

Position Type: Part-Time | After-School Hours
Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour
About the Role
Whizara offers student-centered, highly engaging, and interactive coding courses for K–12 students. We’re looking for enthusiastic instructors to teach coding and robotics in-person, helping students develop essential 21st-century skills.
Whether you’re a current college student, recent graduate, or aspiring educator, this role is perfect for anyone passionate about coding, robotics, and working with kids. No prior teaching experience? No problem—we provide guidance and support to help you succeed.
What You’ll Do
- Lead in-person coding and robotics classes for K–12 students
- Create a safe, inclusive, and fun learning environment
- Follow curriculum, set goals, and motivate students to enjoy learning coding and robotics
- Monitor student progress and provide encouraging feedback and support
- Work effectively with teachers, parents, and students to achieve course goals
- Provide classroom insights to improve curriculum, instructional methods, and learning objectives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom
- Work independently and take initiative to run effective classes
- Communicate professionally via email and phone as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Programming, or related field; other majors with coding or robotics experience are welcome
- Current college or university students are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with robotics kits such as LEGO Spike Essential or LEGO Spike Prime
- Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience with K–12 students is a plus
- Very comfortable with technology and using computers
- Friendly, patient, and calm when working with children
- Ability to work independently or alongside other instructors in a classroom setting
