About Us
The Experiential Learning Collaborative (ExLC) is a small, woman-owned consulting startup helping other small businesses and community leaders turn ideas into action through motivated college students. We scope defined projects that provide real impact for clients while giving students tangible consulting experience they can leverage for their next role.

What You’ll Work On

This project focuses on researching, designing, and actively testing a social media strategy for ExLC. Rather than creating content in isolation, you’ll publish posts on live accounts, track performance, and use real engagement data to refine strategy.

As a junior consultant, you’ll:

  • Research social media best practices by platform for small business consulting and education-focused brands
  • Design original, platform-specific social media posts
  • Publish and manage posts on ExLC’s live social media accounts
  • Track engagement metrics and performance week to week
  • Analyze what content, formats, and messaging perform best
  • Help refine ExLC’s ongoing social media strategy based on findings
  • Build a reusable library of high-performing posts and content ideas

Who You Are

  • Interested in marketing, communications, or digital media
  • Creative and design-minded, with experience using Canva or similar tools
  • Comfortable posting, engaging, and tracking performance on social platforms
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage weekly deliverables independently
  • Curious about what makes content perform and willing to test and iterate

What You’ll Gain

  • Real-world experience testing social media strategy with live data
  • Portfolio-ready examples of published content and performance insights
  • Exposure to consulting-style experimentation and analysis
  • Mentorship and feedback from a business consultant
  • Flexible, remote work that may count toward academic credit
