Spanish Language Instructor

Teach Spanish and Inspire Young Learners!

Location: Fremont, CA (In-Person)
Position Type: Part-Time | After-School Hours
Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour

 

About the Role

Whizara offers student-centered, highly engaging after-school classes for K–12 students. We’re looking for enthusiastic, creative instructors to teach Spanish and help our students thrive.

 

Whether you’re a current college student, recent graduate, or aspiring educator, this role is perfect for anyone passionate about language, culture, and working with kids. No extensive teaching experience? No problem—we provide guidance and support to help you succeed.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead in-person Spanish classes for K–12 students in a safe, positive, and fun environment
  • Follow curriculum, set student goals, and motivate learners to enjoy and excel in Spanish
  • Monitor progress, provide feedback, and support students to meet course objectives
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students to achieve learning goals
  • Share classroom insights to improve curriculum, teaching methods, and learning outcomes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
  • Work independently and take initiative to ensure smooth, effective classes
  • Communicate professionally via email and phone as needed

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Education, Language, or related field
  • Current college or university students are encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken) at a native or near-native level
  • Previous teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience with K–12 students is a plus
  • Friendly, patient, calm, and adaptable when working with children
  • Ability to work independently or alongside other instructors in a classroom setting
