Overview of the internships
We have multiple Design Management internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for multiple internship opportunities within this general area. These internships will be located in the NYC area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule.

- HBO Max Design Management Intern
The Design Management team at HBO Max helps bring creative ideas to life by connecting our design, marketing, and product teams. As a Producer, you’ll help manage projects to ensure visuals such as key art, product browsing videos, and campaigns are delivered on time and at a high standard. You’ll also support the build-out and delivery of assigned title pages for HBO.com, ensuring all creative assets are accurate and aligned with brand standards. No day ever feels the same, as you’ll get to work on a variety of projects at once, collaborating with both domestic and international teams across different creative disciplines. This internship offers hands-on experience in creative production and design coordination while working with talented teams across the company. Our team plays an important role in shaping how HBO Max looks and feels, helping tell stories that reach millions of people around the world.
Your Role Accountabilities
Duties could include:
- Support Producers and Marketing in coordinating creative projects from kickoff to final delivery.
- Manage timelines, asset tracking, and communication across design, marketing, and product teams.
- Assist in reviewing creative materials such as key art and product browsing videos for quality and brand alignment.
- Contribute to the creation and management of assigned title pages for HBO.com, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners on both domestic and international titles to ensure campaign deliverables meet deadlines and creative expectations.
- By the end of the internship, the intern will have supported the delivery of creative assets featured on HBO Max and HBO.com, gaining hands-on experience in production management, design operations, and global creative collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
Essentials needed for the positions that are similar across the above roles (these do not all have to apply to every single role)
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with an interest in creative production or design management.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with creative workflows or digital asset management tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana, or Trello).
- Basic understanding of design, marketing, or media production processes.
- Nice to have: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), Figma, or project tracking tools; passion for entertainment, storytelling, and visual design
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
- Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
- Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
What To Know Before Applying:
The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.
Program date options:
- Option 1: June 1st – August 14th
- Option 2: June 8th – August 21st
Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity
Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
Interviewing will take place from mid February through early-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
