IT Infrastructure - Paid, Part-time Work Experience- Student Program (Wayne, PA) Summer (apply at usli.com/students)
The USLI College Student Program connects students to a variety of opportunities at our company. We employ around 200 college students year-round and approximately 240 during the summer. Our goal is to provide students with meaningful work experiences that prepare them for their next professional step, as well as the chance to explore a career in the insurance industry.
We require our students to be enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester at a 2- or 4-year college/university. You must be available to work at least 12 hours each week and at least 4 hours on any given day that you choose to work. We have no GPA or major requirement, and our pay rate is $20 per hour.
We are looking for students that are team oriented, hard-working and motivated. We focus heavily on our CARE2 values – looking for candidates that are caring, have a good attitude, are respectful, energetic, and empathetic. Our students need to be coachable and are expected to give 100%.
On the Infrastructure- Information Technology team, we are looking for individuals who take initiative and act independently to research and resolve problems. The students should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills interacting with people who have no technical training as well as with those that do have a technical background.
- We prefer the students to have previous customer service experience and be someone majoring in IT or Computer Science.
- The students should be able to respond to requests for technical assistance through the USLI Intranet or via phone from the USLI community.
- The students will diagnose and resolve basic technical hardware and software issues that can be resolved quickly over the phone.
- The students will be trained on configuring and troubleshooting computers using Bomgar, Dameware, Active Directory, Microsoft, VWware and other technologies specific to our company as well as the best practices available in our work environment.
At USLI, our goal is to strengthen our community and culture by representing all races, genders, religions and sexual orientations. We continue to move conversations about diversity, equity and inclusion forward to ensure every community member has a sense of belonging, a voice and a seat at the table.
We are currently looking for students to begin working year-round this Summer in-person. USLI's operating hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.
