Position Overview
The Ticket Sales Intern will gain hands-on experience in professional sports sales by supporting the ticketing department of Iowa Woo, an indoor football organization. This role focuses on outbound sales, fan engagement, and customer relationship management while helping drive attendance and revenue. Interns will work closely with the ticket sales staff to develop sales skills in a real-world sports environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Fan Engagement
- Make outbound sales calls to prospective fans, businesses, and community partners
- Sell season tickets, group outings, partial plans, and single-game tickets
- Assist with inbound calls, emails, and walk-up sales inquiries
- Build relationships with fans to enhance retention and repeat business
CRM & Administrative Support
- Enter and update customer information in the team’s CRM system
- Track sales activity, leads, and follow-ups
- Assist with reporting and sales tracking as needed
Gameday & Event Support
- Work all home games assisting with ticket sales, will call, and customer service
- Support ticket sales tables at community events, festivals, and team activations
- Help with promotions and theme night initiatives
Professional Development
- Participate in sales training sessions and team meetings
- Learn best practices in ticket sales, customer service, and revenue generation
- Shadow full-time staff in various aspects of sports sales and operations
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate (sports management, business, marketing, or related field preferred)
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable speaking on the phone and engaging with customers
- Self-motivated, coachable, and goal-oriented
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and all home games
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Prior sales, customer service, or call center experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems (PandoPartner)
- Interest in pursuing a career in sports sales or business development

- (If the team makes the playoffs, the intern must work those games as well)
