THE OPPORTUNITY

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) opportunity at KBG Technologies is ideal for a leader who combines technical expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset. This individual will have the autonomy to operate as a business owner—developing regional strategies, leading a team, and growing KBG’s market presence across industrial and commercial accounts.

The Territory Sales Manager will also serve as a thought partner to senior leadership — shaping strategy, setting vision for the territory, and driving continuous improvement across sales and service operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and grow the Greater Memphis regional business with accountability for revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to drive sales growth through strategic prospecting, solution-based selling, and long-term account development.
  • Develop and execute regional sales and service strategies that align with KBG’s vision and performance goals.
  • Build, nurture, and maintain trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers, including facility managers, engineering leads, and procurement professionals.

  • Mentor and coach a high-performing sales and service team, promoting a culture of professionalism, technical excellence, and customer care.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, administration, and supply chain teams to ensure clear communication and seamless execution.
  • Lead and support remediation efforts and water safety initiatives, including programs focused on Legionella risk mitigation and compliance with water management plans.
  • Model KBG’s values of honesty, integrity, and accountability in every customer and team interaction.
  • Drive entrepreneurial growth by identifying opportunities, optimizing service delivery, and designing scalable territory systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or commercial water treatment sales, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven ability to lead and coach high-performing sales or service teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of water treatment systems, specialty chemicals, and related equipment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field (strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial capacity—experience building a territory, business unit, or start-
    up function preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics) and performance analytics tools.
