Intern Student Developer Access: Build with the Montjoy Places API (Pilot Program)
Student Developer Access: Build with the Montjoy Places API (Pilot Program)
attached overview of the Montjoy Places API.
Job Type: Experiential Learning / Volunteer / Project-Based
Compensation: Includes Free Enterprise-Tier API Access + Intern opportunity upon feedback
Program Overview:
Are you building a capstone project, a hackathon entry, or a personal app that relies on location data?
Montjoy is opening our Developer Pilot Program to Computer Science and Engineering students. We aren’t looking for employees; we are looking for builders who want free access to enterprise-grade tools to power their own projects.
The Problem You Face:
Most map APIs force you to accept generic, public data. If the map says the entrance is on Main Street, but you know it’s in the alley, your code breaks or your user gets lost. You usually have to write "hacky" hard-coded fixes to solve this.
The Montjoy Solution:
We provide a Private Data Layer that sits on top of standard maps. This allows you to create your own "Custom Places" that override public data, ensuring your app uses your truth, not a third-party guess.
What You Get:
Free API Keys: Full access to the Montjoy Places REST API for your student projects.
Resume Builder: Verified participation in a "Private Beta" for an incubator-backed geospatial startup.
Direct Feedback Channel: A rare opportunity to critique an API and have your feedback read by our engineering leadership.
Who Should Join:
Students familiar with REST APIs, JSON, and cURL.
Anyone building apps for Campus Safety, Food Delivery, Logistics, or Smart Campus navigation.
Developers who want to test "Real World" infrastructure instead of textbook examples.
How to Join the Pilot:

Important: In the notes field, tell us what you are building and why you need better location data.
Note: This is an independent participation program, not an employment offer. We want to empower you to build better software with better data.
