POSITION TITLE:  Technology Summer Intern (Hybrid, Paid)

TEAM:  Technology Administration 

LOCATION:  Arlington, VA (Hybrid, 1-2 days per week in office)

STATUS:  Full-time, Summer 2026

MANAGER:  Director, Technology Administration

INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES:

The Technology Intern will gain hands-on experience working with the Technology and Analytics Team with a focus on technology operations, cybersecurity, and emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The Intern will learn how secure systems, data platforms, and AI-supported workflows are used to protect information and support business goals.  Through guided projects, the Intern will assist with documenting and improving internal technology and security processes, gaining practical experience in cybersecurity awareness, responsible AI use, and real-world technology administration that supports PBSd’s mission.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain familiarity with the structureand workflow of PBSd’s technology operations.
  • Assist with development of documentation of business processes including cybersecurity and AI policies.
  • Manage and supportthe technology libraryof knowledgebase articles.
  • Assist in organizing, cataloging, and documenting software systems, services, and assets.
  • Communicate progress of technology initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (students who have graduated are not eligible)
  • Computer Science,Information Science, Communications, or similar major
  • Previous experience working in a company IT environment preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Good verbal, written,and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate or Advanced skillsin Microsoft Office,including Word, Excel,PowerPoint, and Outlook
