We are seeking a College Admissions Counselor who is knowledgeable, organized, and passionate about mentoring students through every stage of admissions.
Job Responsibilities
- Advise students on college selection, major exploration, and application strategy
- Guide students through Common App, UC, and private university applications
- Support students with personal statements, supplemental essays, and activity lists
- Assist with college lists, timelines, and admissions planning
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and deadlines
- Track student progress and maintain accurate counseling records
- Stay updated on admissions trends, policies, and requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Experience in college admissions counseling, high school counseling, or related fields
- Strong understanding of U.S. college admissions, including UC and private universities
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple students at once
- Ability to work collaboratively with a counseling team
- Preferred (but not required):
- Prior experience working with international students
- Familiarity with admissions to top-tier or highly selective universities
