SEO Intern

SEO Intern (IT) – PROJXON

About the Role: 20 hrs/week, unpaid, 6-month program.
Fully remote | Technology + Marketing Team | OPT/CPT eligible

Responsibilities

Support SEO initiatives across PROJXON web properties to improve organic visibility, traffic, and lead generation.

Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify optimization opportunities for IT, consulting, and service-related content.

Assist with on-page SEO updates, including title tags, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and content structure.

Collaborate with Technology and Marketing teams to help implement technical SEO best practices (site performance, crawlability, indexing, redirects).

Perform basic website audits (broken links, duplicate content, page speed, mobile usability) and document recommendations.

Help optimize website content for search intent, readability, and conversion (service pages, landing pages, blog content).

Track performance using analytics and SEO tools; provide weekly or bi-weekly reporting on rankings, traffic, and key pages.

Support ad hoc digital projects related to website improvements, content updates, and growth experiments.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or currently pursuing).

Interest or experience in SEO, website optimization, and digital marketing fundamentals.

Comfort working with website tools and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Wix, or similar).

Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage tasks in a remote environment.

Ability to communicate clearly, accept feedback, and support iterative improvements.

 

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, ClickUp, and Canvas).

Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and how websites are structured (tags, headings, internal links, site maps).

Exposure to technical SEO concepts (Core Web Vitals, structured data, canonical tags, redirects).

Experience writing or optimizing content for search (blogs, landing pages, service pages).

Interest in consulting, IT services, or growth strategy.
