Job Summary
Dominion Energy's System Operations Center (SOC) conducts real-time operations on the Bulk Electric System to keep the lights on. The SOC Services team is responsible for training system operators, maintaining the training simulators, and developing emergency restoration plans. In this internship, students will help to support the operators who keep our grid balanced and operational 24/7.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices
- Effective planning, project management, and organization skills
- Oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
- Familiarity with C++, Java, Python, or other coding languages
- SCADA knowledge preferred
Education Requirements
Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Must have a graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
Must have a 2.5 GPA or greater.
