Python Instructor (Introductory - Intermediate)

The Community Coding Project is looking for a student/freelance coder to teach introductory - intermediate level Python course at Dallas ISD High School.  Candidate must high level of proficiency with this coding language and possess the ability to communicate complex concepts and content to students whose ages range from 15-18 years old.  This is not an intern position - the selected candidate should be able to hit the ground running using the provided curriculum.  We are also open to coders who prefer to use their own curriculum and lessons.   Classes meet once a week for an hour.  We need someone at the physical location, at least in the beginning, with the possibility for remote instruction in the future.  This is an all male academy and the ideal candidate should be comfortable with a culture of teenage boys.  These are highly disciplined and competitive young men.   Important Message:  Only four hours per month are offered at this site and potential candidates must be available each Thursday at 10:45 am.  This is an indenpendent contactor position (additonal benefits not provided).  While this opportunity does not offer substantial financial compensation, it is an opportunity to add teaching experience to your resume.  We will also provide community service credit and other incentives to be discussed during the interview process.
