Wellness Program Coordinator – Pensacola, FL

As a Wellness Program Coordinator with HealthFitness, you’ll blend onsite fitness center support with the planning and delivery of engaging wellness programs that inspire healthier living across our client’s employee population. From seasonal initiatives like Mindfulness May and Step Challenges, to on-site Wellness Screenings, Flu Shot Clinics, Lunch & Learn seminars, and ergonomic desk evaluations, you’ll bring energy, creativity, and connection to a dynamic workplace wellness environment.
Status: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, varying shifts between approximately 6:00am–6:00pm; occasional Saturday (approx. 1x/year) for special events
Travel: Up to 25%, supporting surrounding fitness centers within a 2.5–3 hour radius of Pensacola.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordinate Wellness Programs and Fitness Center Management at one or client locations. Including wellness briefs, weight management programs, lunch and learns, Newsletters and Stall Talks.
- Create monthly operations reports and HFC reports.
- Maintain accurate member files and program participations records.
- Coordinate effective delivery of business plan activities and programs supporting goals and objectives.
- Conduct fitness assessments and exercise prescriptions, as necessary.
- Interact with fitness members on fitness floor during peak usage times.
- Support ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of health-related programs.
- Assist with site and community events such as American Heart Walk, United Way, Relay for Life, and Blood Drive.
- Maintain fitness center equipment and make improvements, as necessary.
- Engage in frequent and regular interactions with employees at respective sites.
- Maintain and adhere to regular schedule of department visits.
- Coordinate onsite biometric screenings and cancer screenings.
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology, or related discipline OR equivalent combination of education, industry certifications and experience.
- 2+ years related experience.
- OSHA compliant Adult First Aid/CPR/AED from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute.
- Some experience in leading, coordinating and delivering effective programs including budgeting, marketing, and promotions.
- Excellent Oral, Written and Presentation skills.

- Ability to create motivation in others.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.
- Stand out to our team if you have an NCCA Accredited Personal Trainer certification from an Industry recognized and HealthFitness approved agency (not required).
