ENGINEERING INTERN
Hydraterra Professionals (HtP), a water and wastewater resource consulting engineering firm, is seeking a talented Engineering Intern.
This water/wastewater internship (either semester or year-round) is an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in water/wastewater engineering at a dynamic, growing firm located in Honey Brook, PA (Chester County).
Candidates must be enrolled in undergraduate or master’s level engineering courses in an accredited college or university program with major course work in the area of civil, environmental, or related field.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The water/wastewater Engineering Intern assists with general engineering and project activities as determined and directed by staff. Additionally, the intern shall assist and work with engineers and specialist staff as required with duties including, but not limited to, research, calculations, design, construction inspection, and/or other related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Existing coursework or experience in water/wastewater engineering;
- High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability; specifically the ability to work as self-starter.
- Respect for details; ability to execute accurately at a high level without excess supervision.
- Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgency.
- Articulate communication skills – verbal, pictorial and numerical.
- Excellent telephone etiquette, communication and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to learn and grow professionally grow.
- Effectively utilize the capabilities and functions of standard office software applications such as CADD, spreadsheet, and word processing in completing assigned projects.
Interns may not perform all the listed functions and/or may be required to perform additional or different functions from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices. Internship-to-hire opportunity available.
Supplemental Information:
This is a part-time position usually averaging 15-20 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
