As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for a Spring/Summer 2026 Co-Op to join our Quality Engineering, UC/QE Team in Rockleigh, NJ.
This role has been designated for a 100% Onsite work arrangement (in office days: MON - FRI).
Crestron Co-Ops can expect to be challenged with meaningful projects and tasks alongside professionals and subject matter experts in the field. Each Co-Op is assigned a dedicated mentor responsible for their development and acclimation to the company. Crestron also provides a variety of training and networking opportunities to participants in the program, aiming to present a comprehensive experience that enhances both technical and non-technical skill sets and prepares students for their professional careers.

Our Spring/Summer Co-Op program runs from January through August. Over the past several years, our internship and co-op programs have led to dozens of full-time offers to program alumni. We are committed to helping participants succeed by providing opportunities for growth and advancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform manual functional tests on devices under test (DUTs) - Execute structured test cases across multiple product features (e.g., UI, connectivity, audio/video, power, etc.) to verify expected behavior
• Prepare and configure test environments — Set up devices, displays, cables, network connections, and test software based on documented procedures or engineer guidance
• Install firmware and verify basic functionality — Assist in loading firmware updates onto test devices and perform basic checks to confirm that key features are still working after the update
• Reproduce and isolate product issues — Follow step-by-step test flows to reproduce reported bugs or escalations, helping engineers pinpoint root causes
• Record and report test results — Log all test outcomes, clearly noting pass/fail status, observations, and environmental conditions in standardized templates or test tools
• Document and escalate defects — Use internal tools (e.g., Jira, Xray) to raise detailed bug reports including reproduction steps, severity, screenshots, and logs.
• Assist with stress and reliability testing — Perform repetitive or extended-duration testing (e.g., power cycling, repeated user actions, etc.) to simulate long-term usage.
• Collaborate with engineers and QE team members — Participate in informal reviews, daily or weekly status updates, and handoffs to ensure smooth coordination across the team
QUALIFICATIONS
General Requirements
• Enrolled in a college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field
• Available to work up to 40 hours per week from January through August
• Must be commutable to and from Rockleigh, NJ
• Must have permanent, unrestricted work authorization in the United States
Technical Skills
• Comfort with using computers, mobile apps, and device interfaces (iOS/Android/Windows)
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Python preferred
• Basic IP networking experience (e.g., IPv4, DHCP, routing fundamentals)
• Familiarity with testing concepts
