Description:

 

We are seeking hardworking and energetic students who LOVE FOOD to join our team at Lory Catering in the Lory Student Center! Come work alongside your peers to set up and serve for all types of events in and around the heart of campus. Enjoy shift meals, a schedule based around your classes, paid professional development opportunities, and gratuities from some events.  

 

What do Catering Servers do?

• Learn & practice safe food handling and maintain a sanitary work environment. Help monitor and document times and temperatures 

• Help set up and serve many types of events including receptions, buffets, and sit down meals. Will include preparing beverages, building display trays, tending to buffets, serving tables, bussing, and arranging table setups 

• Organize, gather equipment, and prepare for upcoming events

• Make deliveries with food and beverage in and around the Lory Student Center

• Help clean up and organize kitchens during and after events including some dishwashing

 

 

 

Could you be a Catering Server?

The preferred candidate will:

 

• Be able to show up ready to work and proactively seek tasks and learning opportunities 

• Have ability to take direction from, and offer suggestions to leadership-we like your input!

• Be reliable for own shifts, and communicate regarding scheduling needs

• Have positive work ethic, and enthusiasm for food and beverage service

• Be able to provide excellent customer service, greet and communicate with guests

• Have good availability that meets our work schedules

 

 Details:

 

• Must be a current CSU student

• Student Employees staring pay rate is $15.16 per hour + share of gratuities

• Colorado State University may conduct background checks on final candidates.

• Approximate Openings: 5 (depending on availability)
