Test Engineer Intern

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Test Engineering intern will support a wide variety of projects that provide a challenging hands-on experience. Some of the projects may include but are not limited to proto-type R&D evaluation testing of subsystems to full product systems, enhancing test data collection & post processing data analyses, developing Reese’s law test fixture, work with leads on test protocols and test reports, and develop macro for post processing of Trioptics test data. Interns will apply basic knowledge of engineering math, mechanics, or electronics. The candidate will work under the guidance of the Director of Product Assurance & Quality in addition to department mentors to perform prescribed group tasks for the department.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITY

None

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Minitab, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Some experience of classwork, understanding of requirements and test methods.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills.
  • Proactive work ethic and energy.
  • Effective team member and contributor.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in progress, preferably with sophomore year completed.
  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2.5 GPA or higher preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge or usage of electro-optics or Mil-Std-810 test methods considered a plus.

 

BACKGROUND PREREQUISITIES 

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification and reference checks.
