Program Manager for Alumni Engagement

The Advancement division at Dartmouth is seeking a key partner to join our Alumni Engagement team. Our Program Manager for Alumni Engagement (and newest member of our mighty Alumni Relations team!), will play an important role in planning and executing engagement efforts for regional, interest, and class-based alumni groups, including one of our most exciting events – reunions!

The Job: A natural relationship builder, you’ll collaborate with alumni leaders, campus partners, and Advancement colleagues to ensure consistent communication, strong volunteer management, and memorable events and reunions. You’ll oversee your own portfolio of regions and volunteers and provide the guidance, support, and inspiration that foster long-term connection, success, and fun.  You will play a key role in implementing strategies for regional engagement that connect Dartmouth alumni with each other and with the life of the College.

Your polished communication skills will shine as you work with alumni volunteers and organizations and serve as a bridge to campus partners. We welcome creativity in engagement opportunities that respond to the evolving interests of our growing alumni community. This is meaningful work that strengthens bonds, sparks pride, and advances Dartmouth’s mission.

Your Skills: You have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in a complex college or university development operation or the equivalent. You have a knack for inspiring and motivating others, which is helpful in managing volunteers. You take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and communications, and you thrive in fast-paced settings where flexibility, organization, and teamwork are essential. You love building relationships, finding new and creative ways to connect and engage people, and take pride in knowing your work contributes to an exceptional experience.

Our technology suite currently includes Microsoft Office, Advance, email marketing tools, Jira, and Slack. If you bring us solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite that is part of our everyday work (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), we’ll teach you the rest of our software programs through a tailored onboarding plan. Most importantly, you’re excited to roll up your sleeves and join your Alumni Relations colleagues in doing their best work.

Our Location: Dartmouth’s campus is located in Hanover, NH. This position offers the opportunity to work hybrid with a combination of onsite and remote work (the best of both worlds!) and we’re looking for someone within commuting distance.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an imaginative and talented team of engagement professionals and to contribute to connection opportunities for our 85,000+ alumni. Discover more about this role, our division, and the Dartmouth community through the links below:
