Fredericksburg Christian School (FCS) is seeking a skilled and mission-minded High School Math Teacher who is passionate about academic excellence and Christ-centered education. This role is ideal for an educator who values strong standards, meaningful relationships, and teaching math as a reflection of God’s order and truth.

The High School Math Teacher supports the mission of FCS by delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction while guiding students academically, spiritually, and socially. The teacher reports to the Principal and collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruction & Curriculum
  • Teach high school math courses (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, or higher as assigned)
  • Develop and deliver engaging, well-planned lessons using Curriculum Trak
  • Emphasize problem-solving, conceptual understanding, and real-world application
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Integrate educational technology to enhance learning

Classroom & Student Culture

  • Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment with high expectations
  • Foster student engagement, accountability, and perseverance
  • Provide timely feedback and regularly communicate student progress
  • Spiritual Leadership & Professional Responsibilities
  • Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into daily instruction
  • Pray for students and model Christ-like character
  • Participate in faculty meetings, Prayer ’N’ Share, professional development, and assigned duties
  • Communicate professionally with families and respond to parent emails within 24 hours
