Photo-Sonics is seeking a Part-Time Purchasing Intern.
The Part-Time Purchasing Intern’s responsibilities may include entering inter-company Purchase Orders while following defined processes to ensure that goods are shipped from the Supplier in a timely and efficient manner. This includes understanding the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system regarding part numbers, quantity, and lead times. The intern must be reliable and show initiative while maintaining a positive and professional working relationships with the Suppliers. The intern will be expected to conduct a high standard of performance conduct while meeting set deadlines, achieving goals and objectives, and pursuing efficiencies. Intern will also perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Incoming college senior pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong work ethic with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Physical requirements:
- Position requires ability to lift (15 lbs.), stand, walk for long periods of time.
- Position may require some climbing.
