Digital Communications & Content Strategist Intern

  2. Visual Design Snapshot: Identify one health literacy barrier and submit a 1-page graphic or 3-slide Canva/design carousel that translates that barrier into an empowering message for patients.
  3. Video Pitch (2-3 mins): Design a multimedia concept to accelerate health literacy and propose two metrics to prove its effectiveness.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE Join Patient Meets Science (PMSc) during its critical foundational phase. We are bridging the gap between 133M Americans living with chronic illness and the healthcare industry.

Executive Exposure: You will have the rare opportunity to observe and gain insights from our quarterly steering committee meetings, featuring top life sciences leaders from global organizations like Novo Nordisk and Biogen .

OUR MISSION Our mission is to empower the ~133 million Americans living with chronic illness using the PMSc platform. We counter misinformation and build trust by connecting patients to credible science, researchers, clinicians, and lifestyle medicine.

We are addressing a public health crisis: nearly 9 out of 10 adults struggle to understand basic health information . While the healthcare industry has data, patients have lived experience . PMSc is building a Continuous Intelligence Engine to ensure these two worlds actually listen to each other .

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Commitment & Flexibility

  • Total Hours: 280–300 hours total, designed to satisfy academic internship requirements.
  • Weekly Rhythm: Typically 15–20 hours/week, with flexibility to scale based on your academic course load and exam schedule.
  • Focus on Results: We prioritize high-quality execution and Deep Work over fixed clock-in times.

Format

  • Collaborative Cohort: Work alongside other interns in a structured learning environment with direct mentorship from PMSc leadership.
  • Professional Portfolio: Exit the program with 3-5 presentation-ready work samples (graphics, campaigns, or briefs) that make future interviewers lean in.

The Operating System (How We Work) Our system is built for asynchronous clarity so you can manage your studies while building tangible career capital:

  • Monday (by 12 PM ET): Async check-in via the Dashboard to confirm the week’s priorities.
  • Tuesday–Thursday: One-hour team strategy call (scheduled around mutual availability).
  • Friday (by 5 PM ET): Execution Deadline. All social content and strategic deliverables are submitted for final feedback.
