Business Development Manager
Position Overview
The Business Development role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities to support One Frozen’s strategic growth objectives within the Industrial Channel. This position focuses on being an expert of the IQF range for Industrial Team and Strategic Partners. The role works cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and R&D, as well as our partner factories. They will be expected to build up technical and product knowledge to support on and create new business opportunities with US and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with One Frozen’s growth strategy.
• Be the product expert on IQF products, including but not limited to production knowledge, product concepts, and capabilities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current customers, distributors, brokers, and strategic partners.
• Lead initial outreach, discovery calls, presentations, and proposal development for new accounts.
• Support pricing strategy development in collaboration with Sales and Finance. This will also include working on pricing offers for RFP and tenders.
• Partner with R&D and Operations to assess product feasibility, innovation opportunities, and commercialization timelines.
• Work with VP and Director on Budgeting process
• Represent One Frozen at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.
• Build a robust pipeline and maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasts, and activity updates within CRM systems.
• Prepare regular reports and insights for leadership on pipeline health and business development performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of business development, sales, or commercial experience.
• Proven ability to identify and close new business opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed (estimated 25–40%).
Preferred:
• Experience in Food Sales, preferably Frozen Foods or Food Manufacturing
• Familiarity with Industrial or Manufacturing Sales
• Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D teams.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
• Combination of office-based or remote work with travel to customer sites and industry events.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer and ability to stand at industry events for hours. Some heavy lifting required.
• Ability to travel domestically, including occasional overnight stays.
