About the Internship: 
As an Intern at AJ, you’ll play a key role in one of our teams (Creative, Production, and Design), collaborating on a variety of projects to bring innovative ideas to life. This hands-on experience will enhance your understanding of how our efforts align with the agency's goals and how all departments work together to deliver results for our clients. You’ll gain valuable insights into our mission of “putting purpose into practice” while advancing your personal and professional growth.

 

For the Design internship, please apply with a link to your portfolio (NOTE: this position is for students studying visual, graphic and environmental design, and who already have demonstrated expertise with design software).

 

What You Can Expect:

  • Assist with internal initiatives and contribute to various teams.
  • Collaborate with AJ teams on strategic, creative, and production-focused projects, brainstorming innovative ideas together.
  • Client-facing situations that provide real-world exposure.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You are a rising college senior or a recent graduate.
  • You have a strong interest in marketing, strategic communications, production, project management, and events. 
  • You have strong writing and communication capabilities. 
  • You’re interested in exploring a career in a creative agency.
  • You are a self-starter, proactive, and eager to work and learn in a collaborative environment.
  • You can effectively multitask across various assignments.
  • You have an eye for detail and are highly organized. 
  • You are curious! You have a desire to learn, try new things, and ask lots of questions along the way.
  • You have a positive attitude and bring joy and optimism to every interaction. 

 

Position Specific Qualifications:

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Please provide a portfolio of your work. 
  • Internships will primarily be virtual depending on location.

 

Additional Details:

  • This is a paid position for 20 hours a week.
  • Internships open to rising college seniors and recent grads.
  • The internship is for March 2026 through June 2026 (we are flexible on start and end dates).
  • Internships will primarily be virtual depending on location. If you are local to the Chicago area you will have access to our downtown office.
