What We Are Looking For 

We are seeking an Asset Development Intern to support petroleum engineering work for the newly acquired Uinta Basin. The intern will help the team accelerate their understanding of the asset through structured data gathering, technical research, and review of historical field activity. The role will support the development of workflows and reports that enable consistent knowledge capture after the internship concludes.

  • Petroleum Engineering 
  • Chemical Engineering 
  • Mechanical Engineering 

Required and Preferred Skills 

  • Data analysis and visualization skills 
  • Strong technical research and information synthesis abilities 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Basic understanding of petroleum engineering and geoscience concepts 
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint; Excel experience preferred 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with professionalism 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Conduct technical research on the Uinta Basin, including reviewing relevant papers, studies, and industry publications 
  • Gather, analyze, and visualize engineering and operational data to support asset understanding 
  • Perform offset operator reviews and lookbacks  
  • Prepare clear, concise presentations and reports summarizing findings and recommendations 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in team meetings and technical discussions 

Intern Project: The intern will focus on petroleum engineering fundamentals related to CRC’s newly purchased Uinta Basin assets. The project will include data and information gathering, presentation of relevant research and studies, offset operator reviews, and the development of workflows and reporting tools to support ongoing asset evaluation and development.
