Summer Painter Student Worker - Housing

Requirements for Application:

• Ability to pass a criminal and sex offender background check.
• Be in good conduct standing with the university.
• Enrolled in either summer 2026 or fall 2026 courses at UTM.

If you are dreaming of using your skills of neat workmanship and attention to detail and are comfortable with repetitive tasks, this may be the job for you. 

Painter Student Worker General Job Requirements:

1. Prepare rooms and common areas for painting (patching, sanding, taping, covering surfaces)
2. Paint walls, doors, and trim using brushes and rollers
3. Assist with touch-ups and finishing work
4. Maintain clean and organized workspaces
5. Safely handle paint, tools, and supplies
6. Move furniture and protect floors during projects
7. Follow safety guidelines and ventilation procedures
8. Support other housing projects as needed

Compensation:

$9.00/hour - up to 40 hours per week 

*Please note that we will have periodic dates where ALL student staff are required to be present to assist in building prep for new camps.
