LABORER/COLLECTOR 

Full-Time - 40 Hours Week 

The Department of Public Works in the Borough of Leonia seeks a full-time Collector/Laborer.  The ideal candidate will work under the direct supervision of the DPW Superintendent, Assistant  Superintendent, and Crew Chief to perform assignments including sanitation collection,  maintenance of roads & parks, and additional duties. A valid New Jersey Driver’s License is  required. CDL-Class B preferred or obtained within one year of employment is a must.  Candidates must be able to work independently and in a team environment, and lift a minimum  of 50lbs. This is a 40 hour per week position at a union contract starting rate of $47,341.00. 

This position falls within the RWDSU LOCAL 108 bargaining unit and, therefore, will require  that the employee pay union dues. The union contract is available for review.
