Event Coordinator Internship

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Event Coordinator Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and execution. You will work closely with our experienced event coordinators to assist in the coordination of various events, including wedding receptions, rehearsals, specialty dinners, and corporate functions. Our internship is a full time, paid position. We are offering a flexible start date. 

In addition to working with our events team, you will learn to manage the front of house in one of our restaurants. This will make sure you can get full time hours throughout every week of your internship. Throughout the summer you will learn the different aspects of the business that each of our management team is responsible for: scheduling, hiring, interviewing, ordering, costing, budgeting, marketing, events, and much more.

Wineguys Restaurant Group began in 1993 with the opening of Roast & Toast. Since, we’ve added City Park Grill (1997), Palette Bistro (2010), Wineguys Catering (2016), and Jax Northside (2023).

Compensation:

- $16.00/hour

- 40 hours/week, with opportunities for overtime

Summer Bonus: 

- up to an additional $1 hour worked upon completion of employment agreement

Meal Allowance:

- monthly food stipend of $500

- stipend can be used at Wineguys Restaurant Group locations

Housing, upon request:

- dorm style shared bedroom with shared bathroom

- short walk from work and downtown Petoskey

- $125/week, deducted from paycheck
