Intern - Business Analyst, Care Model ID and Stratification

Program Duration

Our internship program runs approximately 40 hours per week, from June 1st through mid-August.

 

The Impact You Will Have

 

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking an Intern - Business Analyst to join our Care Model team!

 

In this role, you will support our Identification & Stratification team by helping build the logic that powers our Care Model outreach campaigns. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements, and serve as a liaison between the Care Model team and our technical partners to ensure accurate and timely implementation.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

Support the development of logic and criteria used in Care Model outreach campaigns.

Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across the organization.

Translate business needs into clear specifications for technical teams.

Assist in testing, reviewing, and validating logic configurations and campaign outputs.

Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.

Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional discussions.

Help maintain documentation, workflows, and process updates related to Care Model initiatives.

Provide general support to the ID & Stratification and Care Model teams as needed.

 

Requirements

To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

Must be enrolled in an educational program for the duration of the internship.

Completed at least one year (2 semesters or credits equivalent) by the start of the internship.

Undergrad Degree in Engineering, Data, Statistics or Mathematics is preferred.

Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a customer service orientation 

Willingness to take initiative and learn new concepts and technical skills 

Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including being on-site at least 2 days per week.
