Laboratory Internship Job Description
This internship is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to gain valuable experience in laboratory operations. The Laboratory Intern will work under the guidance of experienced laboratory staff and will have the opportunity to learn about the various aspects custom compounding and formulation.
The intern will gain hands-on experience in performing laboratory procedures, analyzing data, and maintaining accurate records. This is a paid internship position with a flexible schedule.
Job Type: Part-time (Paid Internship)
Salary: $20.00/ hour

Position Time: Immediate Need / Flexible Schedule
Interns will provide product development support for our Research and Development Department. Upon hiring, all duties will be assigned by the Internship Coordinator. Duties and Responsibilities include:
● Participate in R&D projects which includes the development of new product formulations and product preparation
● Prepare small to medium scale formulation batches of various products
● R&D involvement with chemists: batching samples, evaluating samples, documenting results
● Raw Material analysis
● Assist the lab technicians with organizing shelves, restocking materials, and cleaning equipment (lab stations)
● Assist chemists in maintaining a record for formulas, specifications, and results that are observed during the product development process
● Accommodate lab technicians with shipping out samples to clients
● Must be able to work independently and handle multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
● Participate in lab maintenance and housekeeping activities
● Perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory manager or supervisor
Qualifications:
• Must be currently pursuing a BS or higher degree in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering degree
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to lift raw materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Detail orientated and highly responsible
