Position Summary:
Windham School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Music Teacher for Grades 5 and 6. The ideal candidate will foster a love of music through engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction that supports students’ musical growth, creativity, and confidence. This position includes both general music instruction and instrumental music experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality music instruction aligned with curriculum standards for Grades 5 and 6
  
  Teach musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, notation, and music appreciation
  
  Provide instrumental music instruction; experience with band and/or orchestra is preferred
   
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
   
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
   
• Prepare students for performances, concerts, and school events as appropriate
   
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student learning
   
• Maintain classroom materials, instruments, and equipment
   
• Participate in professional development and school activities
   

Qualifications:

• Valid NH DOE teaching certification in Music required.
   
• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education
   
• Experience in teaching instrumental music (band and/or orchestra) is strongly preferred
  
  Strong classroom management and communication skills
   
• Enthusiasm for music education and student-centered learning
   

Salary and Benefits: In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Windham Education Association
