Intervention Specialist

Starting Date: August 2026
Reports to: H.S. Assistant Principal

Schedule: 183-Day School Year Calendar
Salary Range: $43,500 - $66,000, based on appropriate salary schedule, commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Qualifications:
• Valid Ohio certification/licensure in Intervention Specialist K-12 or Education of the Handicapped (K-12) (5-year license preferred) 
• Positive role model for youth 
• Demonstrated ability to plan for and teach students with varying cognitive and physical abilities
• Extensive knowledge of the IEP process 
• Ability to work with a flexible schedule in multiple settings
• Ability to create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, success and independence 
• Skilled at bridging differences and fostering mutual respect to create a cohesive, effective learning environment 
• Effective communication skills 
• Willingness to be involved in the school improvement process
• Must be able to pass an FBI & BCI background check

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of career and technical programs 
• Excellent organizational and human relation skills

Responsibilities:
• Develop a special education curriculum and teach students with varying learning styles 
• Progress monitor students’ goals
