Fred Hutch LabLaunch Internship
The Fred Hutch LabLaunch Program is a comprehensive experience that will provide cohorts of 10-12 students with lab skills and complementary academic training required for research and clinical lab technical positions across Fred Hutch.
The program consists of a paid summer internship that provides lab technical skills training at Fred Hutch where students will be hosted in a laboratory and trained to perform laboratory technical procedures.
The summer lab skills training at Fred Hutch will run from July 6th, 2026 to August 14th, 2026. Students must be able to commit to the entire period to participate.
We require students to be enrolled at one of our collaborating colleges (Shoreline Community College, Bellevue College, Cascadia College, North Seattle College, and UW Bothell) in order to apply. Specifically, we encourage the following Shoreline students to apply:
- Students in the Biotech Lab Specialist AAAS or Certificate program at Shoreline Community College
- Students in the Accelerated Lab Tech Training Certificate program at Shoreline Community College
- Running Start students in the Biomanufacturing Training Program at Shoreline Community College. One entry point into our Lab Tech program is the Washington State-endorsed Career Launch Program for Running Start students (Biomanufacturing Training Program) who will continue at Shoreline Community College in the Accelerated Lab Tech Training program or the Biotechnology Lab Specialist AAAS for a full academic year after their Fred Hutch internship. Therefore, students who have participated in Running Start (specifically in the Shoreline's Biomanufacturing Training program) during their senior year of high school are encouraged to apply.
Full information about program can be found here.
Applications are by April 6, 2026.
