Marine Biology Internship

About the Internship

This hands on marine biology internship offers a rare opportunity to work inside a luxury retail environment while gaining real world experience in aquarium education, guest engagement, and marine life care. Interns will help bring the ocean to life for visitors through storytelling, education, and behind the scenes support of a professional saltwater aquarium.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized aquarium tours while educating guests on marine species, reef ecosystems, and aquarium care
Communicate marine biology concepts in an engaging and visitor friendly way
Support educational storytelling that connects ocean life with a high end experiential setting
Assist with social media content creation including photos and short videos during tours or educational moments
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of aquarium viewing areas
Coordinate with the tank manager to stay informed on featured species, tank updates, and marine health
Support front of house operations by greeting guests and introducing them to the aquarium experience
Serve as a brand ambassador for both Boca Aquarium and Diamonds by Raymond Lee

Ideal Candidate

Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in marine biology, biology, zoology, environmental science, or a related field
Strong communication and public speaking skills
Comfortable interacting with guests of all ages in an educational setting
Interest in aquatics, reef systems, and saltwater tank care
Comfortable being on camera and participating in social media content
Friendly, curious, professional, and eager to learn
