Marketing Intern
We are excited to announce our 2026 Summer Internship program!
Our summer internship program runs from Tuesday, June 9th, to Wednesday, July 29th. The program is hybrid, with in-office work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and remote work on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and we provide all necessary equipment to help you succeed in your role.
As an intern, you will work on real business projects, gaining exposure to various aspects of the company and having the opportunity to make an impact. You will also connect with Delta Dental employees across different business functions, helping you expand your professional network. Throughout the eight-week program, we’ll assist with resume and LinkedIn profile development and provide you with a LinkedIn Learning license. Interns will meet weekly to share experiences and learn from our business leaders. At the end of the program, interns will have the chance to have lunch with Delta Dental’s CEO.
Interns will be compensated at an hourly rate of $22.00.

Job Summary
The Marketing Intern will support Delta Dental’s Marketing team in planning, organizing, and promoting key employee engagement events and assisting with a variety of marketing initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in event planning, project coordination, content development, and market research while working closely with a collaborative team of marketing and communications professionals.
The intern will contribute to major company events such as the Annual All Associate Volunteer Day and Customer Experience Training , and internal panel discussions. This role is ideal for students interested in Marketing, Communications, event planning, or organizational engagement. . They are creative thinkers and problem-solvers with a discerning eye for creating flawless events.
What You’ll Be Doing.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Support the planning and execution of major internal events, including:
- Annual All Associate Volunteer Day – companywide volunteer initiative
- Customer Experience Training – interactive and educational experiences for employees
- Panel Discussions – sessions where associates share insights and best practices
- Conduct research, help develop event concepts, and assist with scheduling and promotion
- Coordinate event logistics, manage small budgets, and organize resources and materials
- Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors as needed to support event execution
Event Promotion & Creative Development
- Assist in developing promotional assets such as videos, screensavers, and digital communications
- Collaborate with team members on messaging and creative content to drive engagement
Marketing Operations & Special Projects
- Support data gathering efforts using the department’s survey platform
- Assist with ongoing email communication projects
- Participate in on-going market research and analysis
- Prepare and present research findings to Marketing Leadership
Intern Learning & Development Opportunities
During this internship, you will develop practical marketing skills and gain exposure to:
- Event Planning & Project Management: Learn how to plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale events while managing timelines, logistics, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
- Marketing Communications & Creative Development: Gain hands-on experience producing promotional content, crafting internal communications, and supporting digital marketing initiatives.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct customer research, synthesize findings, and present insights to leadership.
- Collaboration, Communication & Professional Skills: Work closely with a cross functional team, practice communicating with stakeholders, and develop time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in conducting research using the Internet
- Graphic design background is a plus; experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator preferred. Experience with Canva may substitute for Adobe applications.
- Experience with video creation is a plus
- Experience with ChatGPT and other AI tools.
Experience, Education and Certifications Required
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Planning, Project Management, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
- Relevant university coursework or academic projects in communications, event planning, marketing, or project management is a plus, but not required
