Business Analytics Intern

Summary/Objective 
The ODW Business Analytics Team is seeking students to Join the ODW team!

  • You’re a motivated rising senior graduating in 2026 seeking an internship that could lead you to your first job out of college.
  • This is a learning-intensive program designed to give you essential business insights and hands-on experience in your field.
  • As an ODW Logistics Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for approximately 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities including a meeting with the Executive Team to present the knowledge and experience you will have gained through participating in the ODW Internship Program.

Through in-depth research and analysis, our Analytics Interns become the front-line team for exceptional performance and understanding of our customers’ needs. Your role as a Analytics Intern will offer experience in: 

  1. Playing a key role in software and systems development through elicitation and analysis of business and functional requirements, process modeling and solution design sessions.
  2. Engaging with stakeholders to facilitate integration of new products and services, technologies, and processes into existing operations
  3. Supporting strategic technology and product initiatives through documentation and design of relevant business processes and associated systems and solutions
  4. Create in-depth documentation and polished deliverables
  5. Effectively communicate research results to the Business Analytics team and make the appropriate strategic recommendations

Education and Experience
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a four-year BA/BS degree or graduate program, majoring in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Logistics or related fields

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening and written)
  • Proven research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Adept at participating on multiple projects and completing deliverables on schedule
  • Analytical and Critical Thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including MS Visio and PowerPoint)
  • Project and time management skills
  • Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Demonstrate professionalism, ethics and accountability at all times
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America

Minimum Physical Requirements 

  • Continuously required to sit, type, and perform repetitive wrist motion.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, or reach.

Your role as a Business Analytics Intern will offer experience in: 

  • Playing a key role in software development through elicitation and analysis of requirements, processes, protocols and DC Operational Standards.
  • Working on a Company Implementation or other Project and gaining firsthand experience with design sessions, requirement elicitation, scope framework, development/testing and production validation
  • Working cross functionally with partner groups and team members to gain deep experience with all facets of our area of work
  • Engaging with stakeholders to facilitate integration of new products and services, technologies, and processes into existing operations
  • Supporting strategic technology and product initiatives through documentation and design of relevant business processes
