Kindergarten Teacher
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and mission-aligned Elementary Education Contractor to provide instructional services to students in Kindergarten. This is a 1099 contract position responsible for the delivery of instruction and related academic services for core subjects including language arts, math, science, social studies, and Bible, within a homeschool cooperative environment.
The contractor will provide these services independently, with alignment to our values and educational objectives. This is a yearly contract, renewable by mutual agreement. The contractor retains control over how services are delivered, consistent with the co-op’s goals and expectations.
Scope of Services
- Deliver high-quality, research-based instruction in all core academic subjects (language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, and Bible) aligned to our curriculum goals.
- Design and execute engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Maintain an orderly, respectful classroom atmosphere that promotes whole-child development.
- Build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Provide timely communication and feedback to parents regarding student progress through tools such as weekly email summaries, brief reports, or conferences.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with our leadership and other contractors for curriculum alignment and cooperative planning.
- Attend occasional events (e.g., professional development or community gatherings) as mutually agreed upon.
- Plan and prepare independently using curriculum provided by the cooperative and personal tools and resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (preferred)
- Current or expired state teaching certification or a willingness to obtain/renew certification (preferred)
- Prior experience teaching or delivering educational services in K–7 environments.
- Agreement with our Statement of Faith, mission, and core values.
- Access to personal instructional materials, devices, and preparation tools.

Terms
- This is a 1099 contract position: the contractor is not an employee of the cooperative.
- The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and technology equipment.
- Compensation, invoicing, and deliverables will be defined in a separate Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA).
